Gunman holds hostages in Madrid bank
The man entered a bank in Madrid and demanded money before pulling out a pistol and holding several people hostage.

A man armed with a pistol held hostages for an hour in a bank in Madrid.
The man entered a branch of the Bankia bank in Usera, just south of the Spanish capital's centre, shortly before 10am (9am UK time), a Policia Nacional spokesman confirmed.
Officers said the he demanded money before taking hostages and threatening several people with a gun.
Specialist police officers were sent to the branch to negotiate with the gunman and a road block was also put in place.
Police said they arrested the suspect after about an hour and that no one was injured during the incident.
