Two separate knife attacks in the northwest London area of Kilburn could be linked, police have said.

Emergency services were called to reports of an assault on Kilburn High Road in the early hours of Tuesday and found a 63-year-old man suffering a stab wound to the back.

He was taken to a central London hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A short time later, police were called to reports of a second knife attack at a different location on Kilburn High Road.

A 39-year-old man has been stabbed in the stomach and was taken to a central London hospital by ambulance.

His condition has also been described as not life-threatening.

Detectives are now appealing for information and are reviewing whether the two incidents are linked.
