Lebanon: Lebanese security forces have thrown tear gas at protesters who were trying to break the fence at the government headquarters in Beirut
The protesters, mainly made up of retired soldiers, were protesting the harsh economic conditions in the country and demanding better pay. The protest was called after the Lebanese pound lost more than 95% of its value since 2019.
