New law named after boy who died from mould
Awaab's Law comes into force in the social rented sector today, forcing landlords to investigate significant damp and mould. The law is named after two-year-old Awaab Ishak, who died in December 2020 from a severe respiratory condition caused by prolonged exposure to mould.
