Teaching unions plan to co-ordinate strike action in England

The general secretary of the Association of School & College Leaders said the government "wants education on the cheap" and that negotiations so far had been "bizarre and surreal at times". Four teaching unions are planning to co-ordinate strike action in England this autumn.

One teaching union chief said he didn't think the education secretary was 'up to the job' of negotiating with them.
